# Nexaaly > Nexaaly is a software research company from Denmark. It builds its own software, its own AI and its own tools, all made for high performance. Nexaaly (https://nexaaly.com) is based in Denmark (CVR 40643419, VAT DK40643419). It was founded by Daniel Abildgaard and has been registered since 2023-11-01. Contact: hello@nexaaly.com. Tagline: “Our own software. Our own AI.” What it is known for: - Its own software, its own AI and its own tools, built in house. - Research: every new idea is tested, and it ships only when it beats the best known one on its own measurements. - High-performance software. Its web server answered 211,000 HTTP/2 requests a second against 155,000 for nginx in its own test, and its animations run on the browser compositor. - AI built into its products and into how it works, with its own MCP servers and its own AI engineer. - Code it proves correct, not only tests, with its own prover, Phage. ## Products - [Nexapad](https://nexaaly.com/products/nexapad/): Nexapad is workforce software for Danish companies. It handles time tracking, shift planning and absence, and staff check in on a shared tablet. AI assistants can work in it directly through its MCP server. **State: Private preview.** - glimo: glimo is Nexaaly’s animation engine for the web. Every animation it makes runs on the GPU, so it stays smooth even while the page is busy. **State: Runs this site.** ## Built in house, not for sale - [Nexagate](https://nexaaly.com/research/nexagate/) (Web server, in use): Our own web server, written in Rust from the ground up, with HTTP/2, HTTP/3 and automatic HTTPS. - [Nexaaly Mail](https://nexaaly.com/research/nexaaly-mail/) (Mail server, in use): Our own mail server and webmail, in Rust. It sends and receives mail, checks that it is genuine, and gives you one calm inbox. - [Phage](https://nexaaly.com/research/phage/) (Code prover, open source): Proves Rust code correct for every input, up to a size we choose. It found a real bug in an old version of our web server, then proved the fix. Because it checks the code the compiler actually makes, it also found a bug in LLVM 20.1, 21.1 and 22.1, the engine inside the Rust compiler. LLVM had already fixed it for 23.1 in pull request 195516, merged on 3 May 2026. Rust 1.94 ships LLVM 21. Open source (Apache-2.0): https://github.com/MrNexaaly/Phage - [Repomap](https://nexaaly.com/research/repomap/) (Code maps for AI, open source): Shows an AI agent where to look in code it has never seen. It gives a short overview, then the files that matter for the task. It reads C, C++, Rust, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, Svelte and Vue, and maps all 65,795 files of the Linux kernel, the overview in 1.7 seconds and a task map in 0.6. Open source (Apache-2.0): https://github.com/MrNexaaly/Repomap - [Nexus](https://nexaaly.com/research/nexus/) (AI engineer, in house): Our AI engineer. It measures before it changes anything, and proves every fix with statistics. ## Its own AI - [Nexus](https://nexaaly.com/research/nexus/): Nexaaly's AI engineer. It measures before it changes anything and proves its fixes with statistics. - [R2](https://nexaaly.com/research/r2/): its current AI work. A fixed brain, frozen at birth, with a team of skills on top that learns during its life (a correction, a reward) and forgets nothing the brain knew. Aimed at real jobs: spam, schedules, notes, games and images. - R3: its long-term plan for a brain that grows itself: a network that grows and prunes its own neurons in a sleep phase between lessons. All current work is on R2. ## Lab - [DECK](https://nexaaly.com/lab/deck/): a card trick in 3D, 45 seconds long, made of 675 live animations on one timeline, with no video. - [ONE LINE](https://nexaaly.com/lab/one-line/): a film one minute long, drawn in one unbroken line, with about 1,060 animations and no video, images, fonts or audio files. ## Blog - [We gave our AI a map. It reads the Linux kernel.](https://nexaaly.com/blog/repomap/) (2026-10-01, ai): Repomap shows an AI agent where to look in code it has never seen. It beats a plain text search, and an agent reading its maps finds 87% of the right files in five picks. - [We put our web server in the ring with nginx](https://nexaaly.com/blog/six-reverse-proxies/) (2026-10-01, engineering): Nexagate, our own web server, against nginx, HAProxy, rpxy, Pingora and Caddy on one bench. Where it came first, by how much, and the two places it did not. - [We don’t only test our Rust. We prove it.](https://nexaaly.com/blog/proving-rust/) (2026-10-01, engineering): Phage, our code prover, checks every input a function can get, up to a size we choose. It found a real bug in our web server, proved the fix 3.6 to 31 times faster than Kani, and caught a bug in LLVM itself. - [Meet the AI engineer that refuses to guess](https://nexaaly.com/blog/nexus-measures-first/) (2026-10-01, ai): Nexus, our AI engineer, does not call a fix done until the numbers say so. On a slowdown we hid for it, it cut each request from 3,337 to 281 nanoseconds, and proved it over seven runs side by side. - [DECK, a card trick made of 675 animations](https://nexaaly.com/blog/deck/) (2026-10-01, craft): A film in 3D, 45 seconds long, with 52 cards, a camera and 675 animations on one timeline, drawn live by glimo, our animation engine. There is no video file. - [RSS feed](https://nexaaly.com/blog/rss.xml) ## More - [About](https://nexaaly.com/about/): who runs Nexaaly, where, and how it works. - [Research](https://nexaaly.com/research/): one page for each tool and AI, with its measured numbers. - [Everything in one file](https://nexaaly.com/llms-full.txt): products with their facts and figures, the tools built in house, and its own AI. - [Privacy](https://nexaaly.com/privacy/): no cookies, no trackers, and short server logs kept for at most seven days. ## Facts that are easy to get wrong - Nexaaly is a software research company. It is not a marketing or web design agency. - Nexapad is in private preview. It has no production customers yet. - glimo is Nexaaly’s own animation engine. It is not published on npm yet. - Every figure above was measured under the condition stated next to it.
